Our services and solutions enable clients to better serve their business and the needs of their customers.

Impact of this role:

The Senior Developer Advocate will play a critical role in articulating and evangelizing Network to Code’s open source software projects and solutions.  This is a highly visible role within the community that will breakdown advanced open source network automation solutions to make them more easily accessible and consumable creating a lower barrier to entry for network engineering and automation teams.

This is a technical position that requires experience in cloud, software development, DevOps, and networking.  We are looking for candidates that have a desire to deepen their skills and have the motivation to reach out to the engineers that built the software while they evangelize the software to the community and to customers.

A day in the life:

  • Work with internal stakeholders including product management, software engineering, and professional services to understand Network to Code open source software projects
  • Create, write, and contribute user and quick start guides to Network to Code open source projects/repositories
  • Write blogs, articles, presentations, and videos to evangelize Network to Code’s open source and solution strategy
  • Gather feedback from customers and the community and present it back to internal stakeholders
  • Engage with the network automation community via mailers, slack workspaces, social media, GitHub, and other forums as warranted

What you have:

  • Passion for sharing, writing, and breaking down complex topics and making them easy to digest
  • Uncanny ability to foresee when network engineers and developers may get stuck with product adoption and usage and create the required documentation and collateral to mitigate that from happening
  • Grasp on the network automation market and open source ecosystem
  • 2-3 years experience Ansible and Terraform
  • 2-3 years experience with Python
  • Experience with CI/CD platforms
  • Familiarity with Git workflows for working in a collaborative environment
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following: Docker, Docker Compose, Grafana, Prometheus, Telegraf, secrets management
  • Understanding of network concepts (devices, VLANs, interfaces, routing) and a passion for learning even more in this space
