Network to Code (NTC) is a leader in the network automation training and professional services market.  With the rapid expansion of the network automation market, Network to Code is hiring Network Automation Engineers and Senior Network Automation Consultants for its consulting practice.  Network Automation Engineers and Consultants are the heart of Network to Code.  These individuals are client-facing and help NTC deliver cohesive network automation solutions for specific client projects, working on a multitude of technologies and open source projects.


  • Understand and translate client requirements into strategic network automation solutions
  • Translate manual workflows into detailed and low-level designs
  • Build network automation solutions for clients
  • Use network automation tools and technology that meet client requirements (Ansible, Python, pytest, NAPALM, NetBox, CI/CD, Networks as Code)
  • Collaborate with other network automation engineers using Hangouts, Zoom, GitHub, and Slack


  • Ability to break down complex concepts and present them in a clean and concise way
  • Ability to travel to teach 6-8 times per year
  • Comfortable doing their day to day development in a Linux environment
  • Extensive experience with Ansible and/or Python automating networking devices
  • Experience with Flask/Django for creating custom APIs
  • Awareness of tools and libraries such as pytest, Nornir, Netmiko, NAPALM, Batfish, Salt, Robot Framework, and Forward Networks
  • Familiar with CI/CD and how it could be applied to network automation
  • Familiar with concepts around data management including Source of Truth strategy, NetBox, CMDB, and management of variables within YAML files
  • Familiar with traditional Git workflows for working in a collaborative environment
  • CCNP or equivalent networking knowledge


  • Contributed to open source project
  • Experience in a customer facing consultant role
  • Understanding of YANG and its role within network automation
  • Experience doing demos and/or public speaking
