Impact of this role:

External: As an instructor on the Learning & Development team, you will have direct influence on the career trajectory and personal development of network operators at our clients; the training curriculums you develop and teach will guide their journey from traditional network engineers and architects to specialists of next-generation network automation.

Internal: You will help to drive the vision, strategy and execution of all client training and enablement activities at Network to Code. In this role, you will build upon our industry-leading network automation curriculum and evolve it to the next level, including cutting-edge innovations developed internally at Network to Code. Enablement services provide robust programs built for Enterprise clients that include training, knowledge shares, labs, and general coaching sessions in addition to supporting one-off training courses delivered within a private or public setting.

A day in the life:

  • Teach network automation courses that range from a few hours to several days. Initially the courses will all be virtual/remote. Some onsite training will be mixed in after national travel restrictions ease.
  • Act as a network automation technology evangelist; engage with the community and present at industry events and conferences, contribute to company blogs, publish informative videos, etc…
  • Work with department leadership to identify emerging trends in network automation and industry gaps in technical training offerings. Then work to define, build, and teach custom training solutions to meet those evolving needs and requirements.
  • Perform interactive demonstrations of network automation solutions to students
  • Articulate Network to Code’s message and common network automation use cases

  • Must be a highly motivated, self-starter, with excellent organizational skills and the drive necessary to see a project through to completion

What you have:

  • 3-5 years of proven instructor experience. Example material from conference presentations, live streams, or webinars that demonstrate your ability to present and explain technical topics (especially to a beginner audience) would be an advantage
  • 5+ years of experience in IP networking technologies
  • 3+ years experience in software technologies for network automation, including Ansible, Python, CI/CD, and Git
  • Familiarity with other automation industry tools such as Napalm, Netmiko, NetBox, Terraform, Salt, Puppet, StackStorm, Django, Docker, Grafana, Prometheus, Telegraf, secrets management, software-defined networks, or intent-based networking
  • Ability to travel to teach or present 6-10 times per year
