Impact of this leadership role:

The Director of Managed Services will lead a NEW organization that is focused on delivering world-class Support, Managed, and Cloud Services (“Managed Services”).  The Director is a senior leader who builds and guides high performing teams to deliver and support new services offerings.  They will lead the launch and release of the NTC Managed & Cloud offering while enhancing NTC Open Source Product Support.  The Director will ultimately own the Managed & Cloud delivery strategy working closely with internal stakeholders, leaders, and customers to ensure the right services are created for a product-market fit that will change the way network automation is consumed across the industry.  As NTC is a global organization, the Director will be responsible for ensuring NTC has the proper certifications required to offer Managed Services to customers around the world with respect to governance, compliance, data privacy, etc.  The Director will manage the overall budget while establishing and track key metrics to make sure NTC has a profitable Managed Services practice.  This position will report directly into the VP of Professional Services.

A day in the life:

  • Work with their direct reports (Managing Consultants) to ensure there is well defined and strategic roadmaps for Support, Managed, and Cloud Services referred to collectively as Managed Services
  • Participate on key customer calls to highlight the value of the NTC Managed Services
  • Define and ensure compliance of internal KPIs related to the health of their organization, such as billable utilization, P&L, delivery effectiveness, profitability, etc.
  • Partner with NTC Sales creating Managed Services proposals and SOWs
  • Collaborate with internal leadership to define core business drivers, success outcomes, and key KPIs that will be used to measure the business impact of our services
  • Continually measure and monitor client satisfaction and health of the initiatives; proactively identify issues and coordinate with services teams to remediate issues as they are identified
  • Lead stakeholder and steering committee meetings with leadership to present tangible results and achievements, report active team initiatives and the planned roadmap of the projects
  • Continue to build out the Managed Services organization enabling NTC to offer 24×7 support to its customers
  • Actively solicit feedback from internal leadership and stakeholders ensuring the Managed Services are inline with expectations
  • Work with Finance to establish and track the P&L for Managed Services
  • Work with Legal to ensure proper compliance of the Managed Services

What you have:

  • Experience creating platforms or services exposed to internal and/or external customers
  • 5+ years of senior leadership experience with proven results and building high performing teams
  • 7+ years in Information Technology Engineering with 5+ years supporting applications built for internal or external customers
  • Understanding of our business in network automation technologies and consulting services
  • Mastery level knowledge of client relationships as a consultant and project execution typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience; may have deep knowledge of project management and/or sales experience working in a consultative, client-facing role
  • Familiar with agile software development
